Slowdown of Lightning
As we all know the classic version of Salesforce org is comparatively faster than the Lightning.
This is all because of the third-party cookies storing in the system.
The third-party cookies are not stored much in system while we are using classic version of Salesforce.
Why are cookies accumulated more in Lightning?
The classic version of Salesforce uses only MVC (Model, View, Controller) operation to evaluate and do the business operations in server-side,
so accumulation of cookies is comparatively less in Classic version.
While in Lightning, to reduce the usage of server-side scripting, Salesforce introduced the concept of client-side scripting in Lightning where JavaScript is used.
So, some of the validations like form validation can be done in client side, so it reduces the usage of the server.
In Lightning, for transmission of a data from browser to database it should cross the JS and MVC. This process is similar to Angular JS.
This middleware part makes the accumulation of more cookies.
Disadvantages of Cookies
The cookies are files which are stored on your hard drive. The more you surf the web, the more cookies you accumulate.
The cookies build over time, and can take up a bit of storage space.
As a result, your browser can start & run slower, your system may lag or hang up if hard drive space is limited.
Lightning vs Classic:
The Lightning is user friendly, rich in UI, and work to server is reduced by using Client-Side scripting.
The accumulation of cookies makes the brower slower.
The Classic will run even the third-party cookies that are blocked in your system browser, because it runs in server-side.
Solutions:
If the lightning version is not working in your mac, then turn off “Block-third party cookies” in your browser settings.
To Speed up your org use high speed network bandwidth and clear all cookies.
